Four spreads were designed for an article about Art and Synesthesia, a condition in which a person can smell the color green or another combination of senses that become confused. These spreads were for a scientific journal so the body copy was set large enough to be easily read, and strict vertical and horizontal grids were used throughout. The body copy was set justified in American Typewriter with the headers in Cochin. Headers were also treated with a yellow stripe behind them to give the appearance of being highlighted which brought the headers forward and I felt appropriate given it was for a research journal.
